How can I fund-raise for VHL UK/Ireland ?
There are many ways to raise essential funds for the charity, no matter how big or small it all helps us to to reach our goal!
Whether it is a bake sale, sponsored half marathon, a night walk, a work place “dress down” day, a charity coffee morning or a sky dive, please follow our step-by-step guide below, which explains everything you need to know.

1. Share your idea with us
Let us know about your fundraising activities by the Contact-Us page, or you can pop us an email or reach us on our social media at the top of the page and we will list you on the VHL UK/Ireland website’s Fundraising Calendar and Facebook Page.
We will also issue you with a certificate upon completion of your event!

We are able to offer discount on bulk/team merchandise orders – simply Contact-Us or Email us direct with your order and use the Donate button for payment of the goods.

2. Create your Sponsorship Page!
GoFundMe – Simply follow the simple steps to setup your GoFundMe account and create your own personal campaign for VHL UK/Ireland Charity 1160381. We recommend GoFundMe as they do not charge the charity any monthly fees and we receive almost 100% of donations, as well as offering donors the option to claim GiftAid, boosting their donation by 25%! Donations incur a % transaction charge +20p and GiftAid is passed on 100%. Payments are made to the charity via the PayPal Giving Fund with no further overheads.
Facebook – you can now select VHL UK/Ireland as your chosen charity for Facebook Fundraising. To do so, simply navigate to “Fundraisers” in the main menu in your Facebook page, then select “Charity” and search “VHL UK/Ireland” in NonProfit. Facebook charges no fees for donations. If you are a UK taxpayer donating to a charity registered in the UK, your donation could also be eligible for GiftAid!
iDonate IE – If you are in Ireland you can also create your own Fundraising Page for your event. This site allows you to create an event in Ireland using iDonate.ie where donations can be made in Euros. Please note – In order to cover bank fees, VAT and administration charges, iDonate.ie does charge VHL UK/Ireland a small fee of 4-5% on each donation via its website.
3. Request a collection pot or bucket!
If you believe a VHL UK/Ireland collection pot or bucket would come in handy, please Contact-Us or pop us an Email with your request and we can make the necessary arrangements for you. Please allow us enough notice to send this to you.
4. How can I transfer the funds I have raised to VHL UK/Ireland?
If you have used an online sponsorship page such as the ones mentioned above, funds will automatically be paid to the charity. However you may receive cash / bank transfer donations and cheque donations.
You can use our Donate page using the button at the top of the screen to PayPal the funds to the charity, or you can Contact-Us / Email us for banking details. Let us know if you need the UK or Ireland banking details to transfer to. We advise to use a bank transfer as we do not incur any costs, but if it is easier you can PayPal them across.
