Target achieved thanks to all that have donated so far.
Run completed in a time of 2 hours 10 minutes a bit disappointed with the time considering I had to walk at 4 miles.
Had a great weekend looking forward to next year.
I have chosen to run for this charity as my friend Clair Marsh has VHL.
Von Hippel-Lindau is a hereditary disease that causes malignant and benign tumours in the body. Most affected areas are the brain, spine, kidneys and pancreas.
To see the way Clair gets on with her life she is a true inspiration to others considering what she has been through.
Clair went blind in one eye when she was ten and was diagnosed with VHL at the age of eleven.
After countless operations on her remaining eye she sadly lost her sight at the age of twenty two.
Clair has also had a tumour removed from her spinal cord as well as her right kidney removed.
Vital research is needed to help find a cure for this debilitating disease.
